Inside a technical box, easily transportable, were created 3 micro-CHP systems which supply highly efficient heat and electricity to the municipal warehouse. Inside are placed several sensors such access control, fumes, gases, temperatures and day and night vision cameras. In addition, the system has also been on-grid, for the first time in Italy, being thus recognized by the local distributor (DSO) and the managing authority of the national electricity grid.
Starting from prototypes based on the Solid Oxide Fuel Cells technology, two suspended micro-CHP systems were created. These two systems, can produce, starting from methane, electric energy and heat, in the form of hot water. These installations are located at the Sports Centre and at the Professional Education Centre in Pergine Valsugana.
The installations for the biennium 2012-2014 will be realized in Trentino, where the institutions have given their approval for experimentations, and within the context of the European project called “Ene.field”.
